My visual artistic expression began as an emotional response to the destruction of September 11th on the city of my birth. A self-taught artist, I call my stream of consciousness art - Lived Art. My flexible, visual style was first created in pen and ink before springing forth onto canvas in vivid color. Lived Art reflects its own time but stays relevant as it moves into the future. My influences include Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jackson Pollock, Pablo Picasso and the artists who display their work on the streets of New York City. I have had solo exhibits at Snooty Judy’s Fine Art Gallery and the H’art Gallery in Dunedin, Florida, and the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center in Tarpon Springs, Florida. My work was included in Clayton Galleries 10th Anniversary Contemporary Folk Expressions Show in Tampa, Florida, the 14th Annual All Florida Juried Exhibition, at the Arts Center in Saint Petersburg, Florida, the TESA President’s Summer Invitational Show at the Leepa Rattner Museum of Fine Arts in Tarpon Springs, Florida and I have exhibited at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center, the Artists Way Gallery and the Bansemer Gallery in Dunedin, Florida, and Main Street Gallery in Clayton, Georgia.
